Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox was able to make a change in her profession following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience and lack of talent the same way as other Royal Academy students. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. But she quit before the band went to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. The singer was the primary singer of The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. This is where she first came across Dave Stewart with whom she would form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her solo debut album Diva and it was released around 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. The singer-songwriter released her debut solo album along with her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, titled "Now I'm letting You Go." Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. At the end of the 70s, Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while members in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox began her solo career by releasing their debut record Diva with a variety of successful songs includingWhy andWalking in Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It features cover versions of some songs, including The No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo studio albums and her compilation album include a number of hits.
