Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids was born in Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her father worked as a teacher and her mother was a stay-at-home mother. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick is always a fan of performing, dancing and creating show puppets. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the world of entertainment. McCormick was offered her first major role when she got a part in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play The Wind It up until It breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked out of a crowd of over 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance for the role of the oldest of three towheaded girls on the new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. This show lasted for five years. McCormick said in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost ended her relationship in the fifth season of the show to Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. The actress was sixteen years old, and the actor 19 at the time. It would have happened she stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
